I thought the rate of fire on the M60 was higher.

That or seizing parts from the heat and friction. I wonder how long it'll take 'em to re-attach all those links.

It is. This is the M60E4, the cyclic rate has been reduced.

Just as the M16 has a faster cyclic rate than the M4.

Probably heat. All the parts expanding and clearances going away.

                    What is a "failur test"?

ETA: What happened? He had a bunch of belt left.. I was expecting him to use it all.

At the beggining of the video it states "1600 rounds test" but I guess it made it to 1200 rounds....

                            Nice *****

After 30 seconds, I wanted to turn it off since it was just repetive... but for some reason, I had to go through the whole thing. Thanks!

The real key was that he didn't stop firing for a few seconds in-between that whole belt.

I'm wondering how many rounds it can fire until it just keeps cooking off rounds on it's own.

Everyone who has fired the M60 knows the "twist the belt" trick, I'm sure.
