Socal V. Norcal

this is something Ive always wondered about and Id like some feedback.

I live in SOCAL, specifically, San Diego and I was wondering why it seems as though Northern California has a whole lot more gun owners/calgunners. in fact, It seems like 80 plus percent live up there. Why arent theyre more socal gun people on calguns. I dont want to hear insults, just explainations.

Ever heard of the State of Jefferson? That ideology is creeping down the state more and more. Plus, it's much more rural up here and people tend to be more gun friendly (minus the capital). There's other forums with lots of SoCal people.....they'll find Calguns soon enough

Maybe no one's speaking up or it just seems that way to you. I don't feel that way and I'm a N.Cal resident. I'm almost certain that it's not a 80-20 split. I have no NRA or related stickers or the like on any of my vehicles. None of my neighbours know I'm a target shooter or hunter. It's not that I'm not proud of these things and that it's my right to do so, only that I don't want the attention that it could breed from curious punk kids or the like and any future imperial entanglement that may arise from posts or pictures.

It is more rural especially north of the bridge and there are more opportunities for using our guns

Looking at the for sale forums, it seems the most concentration of AR/AKs for sale are in Fresno/SoCal.

Fresno was corn country till the water got shut off. You could do a lot of shooting in those dust bowls.

For what it's worth, SoCal volunteers worked their asses off this past year; it's pretty safe to say that NorCal has some catching up to do on the RKBA grassroots front.
