    I would have drawn and loaded my pistol after I beat him back.

      In free states it's already cocked, locked, and ready to rock!

        Well next time the store security will just call the COPs and have the SWAT team storm the store instead.

            [QUOTE=Desert_Rat;3583983]

            The story goes,My friend was minding his own bisiness at a corner store and some punk walks over ant starts talking trash.My buddy tells the guy to move along and He won't get hurt.Well the guy who is doped out of His mind keeps it up and escelates it to an attack with the handle of one of those long handle window squeegee's from the gas island.So My buddy ends up in a fight or flight situation.He can't leave because His wife is still in the store.So my buddy takes this dood and thrashes Him pretty good.The bad guy gets a broken wrist from a wristlock a badly broken elbow from a strike to the back of the arm while in the inverted "L" position with his arm extended,and a badly broken nose and eye orbit from a solid kick to the face while still in the same position,then the bad guy gets a concussion from slamming the back of his grape into the concrete following a leg sweep.My buddy at this time did not finish this line of counter attack with the next step in the line wich would have been a heel stomp th the bridge if the nose.
            Now all of this sounds pretty time consuming and violent.but it's not time consuming,but it is violent.It only takes a split second or two to do this when You are trained.
            Buddies wife called 911 from a payphone (before cell phones)
            Later at the courthouse My buddy says that He did not want to hurt the guy that bad and was only acting on instinct and training.The judge locked him up for 6 months for misdemeanor battery,pleaded down from a felony.Saying that at His level of training He should have known when enough was enough(Like stopping before the heel stomp)But the judge wouldn't hear it.

            My buddy is a former US Marine Grunt who was on the 1st Mar Div Super Squad in the early 90's and one of the first Jarheads with boots on the ground in the first gulf war.He also was in Panama when Noriega got the boot.

            To any older US Marines reading this You will probably recognize the attack as some of Your Line Training from the CQB training You recieved and practiced day in and day out for years.I know I can still do it pretty well after all these years,I taught it to my preteen daughter even and She does it quite well for being so uncoordinated.
            Right there is where he escalated the situation. Not 100% innocent. Once you say stuff like that to someone, that's a challenge not a "oh, I'm being a nice guy" statement.

              Nope. That's the Declaration of Independence.

              That, however, is in the Constitution; more specifically, the Fourth Amendment.

                  That guy really shouldn't be posting the details of the story.

                        another case of an over zealous mall ninja/wanabe cop on the job. some of them must think they know everything just because they watch old episodes of cops on the weekends.

                        theres a difference between doing what you know is right, and assuming what you do is right.
