You better stock as much as you can (handgun ammo) now. If you think handgun ammo at your local rip off joint/s is going to get less expensive, you are sadly mistaken.

Just bought some Federal Prem. 12 Gauge 3" Magnum 00 Buck yesterday for $5.78 a box of 5. Took all they had....7 boxes.

Went there for some Car Wax and some other junk...and couldn't help taking a stroll by the locked glass doors.

Horrible....lol.

Roseville walmart had many boxes of 100 rd value pk .223 for $39.99 yesterday when I was there no other ammo though.

I just called and the lady told me that the Federal 50rd 9mm boxes are $13.97. Weren't they like $9.50 recently?

The Winchester 147gr is $17.97...not sure how much it used to be though

I have recently spoken to one of the managers of a Super WalMart in the IE area and was told that the price of the ammo charged/ priced in the sporting goods section varies according to the price paid for the last/ order received. The absolute rock bottom price I have paid for centerfire ammo at a WM was $4.95 for a box of CCI Brass cased 9mm 50 RD box.

The prices seem to vary greatly from location to location.

I have shopped far and wide, and nobody I have seen in SoCal area can beat WalMart on their ammo prices. If AB 962 goes through, WM hasn't said whether they will discontinue selling ammo. But at least three (managers) employees, I have asked regarding the proposed legislation think it is a likely possibility (time consuming/ paperwork, etc.).

All speculation aside, I hope they continue to offer the ammo but will personally discontinue purchasing it here if a fingerprint becomes a requirement for said purchase.

P.S. I purchased some Federal a few weeks ago for $9.95 and paid $23 for 100 RD WWB. Also, at the Ontario Gun Show the lowest 9mm ball ammo I saw was $13 per box of 50 RD (PMC 115 FMJ).
