Wal-Mart raised the ammo prices again?

I just called and the lady told me that the Federal 50rd 9mm boxes are $13.97. Weren't they like $9.50 recently?

The Winchester 147gr is $17.97...not sure how much it used to be though

I'm glad their prices cant compete with online anymore. Now I have NO reason to go there.

I think she was mistaken. Prices in San Diego haven't gone up that I know of, and that sounds like .40 cal prices. Maybe that what she was looking at.

I'd like to know what Wallyworld actually has ammo? Whenever I go, they only have 12ga and on the shelves and those stupid zhu zhu gerbil pet things locked up where the ammo should be.....

Just picked up diapers. Still the same ol prices down here. I'm pretty sure she looked at the .40 price instead of the 9.

Ask the manager when they receive/stock. That's what I do and get it before they open the locked cabinet

                  9mm was $9.87 and 40 Smith was $13.97.

Thanks for the update everyone. she was probably mistaken.

She also said that they had a bunch on Friday at the City of Industry store...

                    She actually said..."We sold out of 9mm, 40, 45 & 38 yesterday" when I called this morning.

I bought 300 rounds of 40 from the Glendora store about a week ago, I think I paid 14 bucks for a box of 50.

Sure but you can forget about getting handgun ammo sent into California from internet sales now. Or until Feb 1st

I don't think the online handgun ammo ban goes into effect until Next Feb...2011

You better stock as much as you can (handgun ammo) now. If you think handgun ammo at your local rip off joint/s is going to get less expensive, you are sadly mistaken.

If I remember right you can also bypass the online ammo sales with your C&R + COE. If you do not have your C&R it is worth it anyways just for discounts from Midway and Brownells even if you dont collect C&R.

It is also better to reload. After the ban is in effect can we still have bullets, cases, powder, and primer shipped?
