Guns are very efficient tools designed to stop bad people cold in their tracks.

Your liberal gun-grabbing argument won't help YOU making many friends here.
I'm with Aluisious here. Guns are designed to kill. The point of throwing the rock was/is to discourage or prevent some action. It always carried/carries some risk of a severe injury, even death. More efficient, longer range rock throwing, as with a gun, carries that same risk. Target practice is to get better rock-throwing ability, along with all the other aspects of the sport.

The question is, "so what?" Sometimes it's the right thing to do to throw rocks, or to otherwise risk the death of another, to prevent a criminal act, or to protect oneself from injury or death. Having a tool to do that is reasonable.

I too support what Alusious is saying here. Know the other spin to make a better argument.

In the pool/guns meme - the better answer to "guns are designed to kill people" is, "yep, but pools are designed to amuse, and they kill more non gang children than guns while guns save the innocent from violent crime."

Just curious, have you watched the Front Sight DVDs? Sounds almost exactly like one of Dr. Piazza's statements from the first one, regarding his approach to evangelizing anti's.

Yep, that would be. I haven't been over the hs2000talk for years. Saw that place go the way of glock talk and gave up on it.

Nice to know the ol' crowd is still active though.

Depends. There are lots of guns that are made for sport, but yeah, when I hold my XD I know that it was designed to kill humans in the most effcient way possible. It was a military design after all.

So, not all guns were designed to kill, but all of them can.

"Guns" in general are designed to kill.

They would not have been invented otherwise.

Why would a Liberal want a gun?

I dunno, to be a model of the pinnacle of hypocracy?

you know, I have to agree with that. It seems like the liberals on this site own guns just so they can say, "see, liberals own guns too". At least they make it seems like so.

                            Hypocracy?

What is that, a system of government involving a lack of government?

Is that like anarchy or something?

                              Wow, you got me.

I own 3 firearms and a few thousand rounds of ammo so I can say "me too, guys, me too!"

It's not so I can go shooting or anything

You people enjoy a rich fantasy life.

Just out of curiosity what are the required attributes and beliefs necessary to be a gun owner?

What attributes and beliefs make you unqualified to be a gun owner?
