            Ive heard about the punt gun. It was sometimes mounted on a boat and was used for comercial hunting. Its against the law to use for hunting now. I might be wrong though.

              You're right, it is a punt gun. They used to mount these on punts, a small kayak like boat. One guy would sit in a punt and sneak up on a flock in the water and then fire off the punt gun. After, a crew of men and dogs would go fetch. They were banned quite some time ago. Some of these things were over 10 feet long...
