What's the most durable flat black finish for a pistol? One that can withstand some holster wear.

i like the durability and anti-oxidation properties of stainless, but i'm getting tired of looking at shiny barrels....
my $0.02 is to get a stainless firearm and paint it black or whatever color you choose....
