    Burglary Downstairs...

    Ok... So...

Cops just stopped by my place going door to door because the unit under me got burglarized. Luckily for me I'm on the second floor and my windows and sliding door are not accessible unless you are Spiderman.
Either way... Looks like the M1S90 is going to be keeping me company.
Boy, I swear Fremont is getting more and more Ghetto everyday.

nsr500 be careful when you have a shotgun in an apartment or condo.
i used to live in a condo and it was burgularized when i was not home. the burgulars were later caught. they used to watch the people that lived there and waited till they left. i think it is best to have a handgun because if they are already in your home they might have found the shotgun easier and if you come home or forgot something......might be a bad situation. rubber batons or bean bags would be nice for a midnight intruder though.

I'm not too worried about the shotgun being found when I am not home. I typically lock my stuff up in the safe. The thing that sucks about it though is the fact I'm in an Apartment when I'm here in CA. The apartment management might get pissed if I bolt the safe down and damage stuff. So, for now it just free stands and sits like the heavy *** lug that it is. If someone wanted it they would have to get it out of the unit and down a set of stairs. LOL!
The main reason I'm leaning towards the M1S90 is because the unit next door has kids in it. I figure using shot instead of FMJ's or JHP's from my pistol would be better.

            madjack,

Believe it or not, bear traps and razorwire in this state used in that way are a felony.

Not to hijack anything. But someone elaborate the specific laws concerning razorwire. I was joking about keeping the neighbor kids out of the yard with some, and a coworker got a disgusted look on her face and said "that's illegal!" I figured in CA it probably is, but who knows for sure how it can be used on private property?

              to the OP:
I would use shot in an apartment too.

How sad it is that you can't even put safeguards to protect your property because it would hurt the criminal. I can only hope our legislators feel the wrath of their stupidity one day and we can all go NNNNNAAAAAAAH NNAAA NAAH NA NAAAAH NNNNAAAAA. I know, immature, but don't you really feel that way LOL?

                Have a great Kenpo day

It's illegal to put traps of any kind in your home.

My response may not be clear enough. You can put razorwire up if its clearly visible. You can't have booby traps though - and a bear trap inside your house would likely violate that.

Some of the better wifi enabled web cams have the ability to email motion sensed photos to your gmail or other large off premises email account.
