  • TRS - Come Back for Tripp's (Pics)

Several weeks ago, I have sold numbers of handguns for a new project. So here it is, just got this back from Tripp Research. This is my first 1911. After 2000 rounds I sent it in to Tripp Research for a semi makeover, and just got it back from Tripp's shop. My SA TRP Operator is leaving on Monday for the same treatment.

Very cool. Do you have a list of the work done? What type of finish? The recessed slide stop lever is neat.

That looks splendid and it certainly gives me some ideas of what I'd like to do with my TRS one day.

      1. Did you get the grips from Les Baer and may I ask how much it cost?

      2. What kind of finish is it?

      3. S&A Magwell?

Yeah, nice touch. For a gun of this "caliber" I thought LB would have done it in the first place. For instance my SA Professional's is at least flush with the frame.

This is what I have Tripp's done on my TRS:
The slide stop hole recessed and the slide stop filed down, applied polymer coat, replaced the trigger w/ a 3 hole, trigger work to 3#, put in a SA magwell, replaced the thumb safety w/ an ed brown one, shaved and blended the hump on the grip safety, and replaced the grips with standard ones (Standard grips cost: $80) and Dehorning - moderate.

          Thanks for looking.
