Go back and read the thread from the beginning. It's clear what a few of these people are up to. They don't want to share.

All the information about target shooting has been provided in this thread including the actual rules from the BLM itself Why do we need more know-it-all types to chime in with their two cents and opinions when the facts have already been provided? .not sure who was trying to be a know it all please show me It looks like a few of these posters just want to run their post count up. Maybe they think they get a medal for the most comments?sounds like some people have an inferiority complex

The guys causing the trouble in this thread just don't want to share public lands. They are afraid someone is going to stumble onto their "secret shooting spot". That's why they try to spread FUD about the subject hoping to scare away newbies. Probably the same group of A-holes that are hoarding Walmart ammo and trying to sell it on this site.please show me proof, if your referring to me or diginit then you should look at some of our post trying to get new people to go out to BLM land. Where do you get off accusing people of things you know nothing about? it seems that the people buying all the ammo and then selling it on here tend to be members with low post counts

Mitch was talking about one specific area with a restriction for obvious reasons. This did not apply to bureau territory at large and it was not the question the OP asked anyway.

The OP included a link to the Bureau of Land Managements own rules in his very first post. That's the official policy information on the subject. This link has been re-posted several times. What makes you or anyone else think we need your repeated "warnings"? You don't make the rules.

Nobody asked Mitch or yourself for random exceptions or anecdotal examples. Mitch made it clear he does not want to share BLM lands for fear the anti-gunners might use it for propaganda to supposedly shut them down.

It appeared to me and a few others that Mitch and yourself were acting a little snarky. You don't have to agree but that's how it came across.

Anecdotal example. Already been discussed in this thread. There is a military base, highway and 3 ATV parks in this area (None of which was mentioned in that post until pointed out by the Goldleviathan later). Special situation meant special rules. This is an exception NOT regular BLM policy. Also there are signs posted there about the restrictions so nobody is going to accidentally start firing off an AR 15. Mitch also claimed that "Much of San Bernadino County is shotguns only". That is simply not true. San Bernadino County is huge and only a small portion has that restriction. He was being disingenuous to say the least. And trying to scare away others from using BLM land on the basis of fear, uncertainty and doubt IS FUD.

The OP included a link to the Bureau of Land Managements own rules in his very first post. That's the official policy information on the subjectthat link is for the general rules, there are many more. This link has been re-posted several times. What makes you or anyone else think we need your repeated "warnings"? You don't make the rules. because if you or some other smart *** doesn't follow the rules it can ruin it for the rest of us, which is why every time I go to new bLM land I call the local office. Also in almost every BLM thread I've read people were happy for suggestions, but I guess you know everything already. When did I or anyone say they were an expert? I don't see anyone telling people what to do just suggesting they check with the local field office

Nobody asked Mitch or yourself for random exceptions or anecdotal examples. Mitch made it clear he does not want to share BLM lands for fear the anti-gunners might use it for propaganda to supposedly shut them down.please show me where this is

Go back and read from the beginning.

Now you've finally told the truth. You don't want anyone else using these lands because it might mess it up for you. Exactly what we all thought. Keep responding here and bump this to the top so more people see it and come across your secret spot. It's what you deserve.

All the BLM land I've been to has special restrictions. How is this trying to scare others away? The way some people talk about BLM land is that you can go there and shoot wherever you want which in many cases isn't legal. If he was trying to spread fud if he linked the BLM site which shows shooting ranges?

I think you need to read what I wrote and answer why you accused me of doing things. I have yet to see you try to help others find BLM land which I have done on quite a few occasions.

Everything a person needs to know about finding BLM land is contained in the first post. You just want to play the hero know-it-all. We know your type.

My secret spot? you mean panoche? I guess I haven't posted about this place quite often. Hell were even having a shoot next week and its posted where everyone can read it. Why dont you come out and we can finish this conversation.

Where do I say I don't want people using these lands? I said I wanted people to know the rules. Don't try and twist my words.
