This is America and in America we get to make our own decisions about what to buy. I don't want or need the biggest retailer in the world making those decisions for me. For that reason, I'll shop elsewhere.
I've heard a lot of arguments against Walmart, e.g. environmental, wage/labor, buy-American etc. To varying degrees, most of these have a little truth and merit.

But you just gave the most ridiculous reason I've ever heard against Walmart. Choice? Have you ever been to a Target? Or even a mom/pop grocery or general store? Have you seen the selection there, or lack thereof?

Went to my local Oceanside WalMart last night and I noticed they consolidated the glass shelf of ammo in half. I hope its not true but it looks like theyre getting rid of their inventory. All I saw was the usual shotgun ammo and 22wmr. Also a few boxes of 223. If this is the case I may actually start considering reloading. No way in hell will I pay Big 5 "sale" prices!

Went to the Brea walmart yesterday. They had nothing on the shelves as usual. I asked the guy "So I've heard Walmart is going to stop carrying pistol ammo, is that true?" He laughed and said "last Saturday we had a ton of ammo, so much it wouldn't all fit in the case. We had it piled on the floor but it didn't even last the day. Was mostly sold out by 1pm. If we (walmart) are going to stop selling it, I have not heard anything about it. I don't think that's true at all."
