I'm in the same boat with rick1881 and redneckshootist. Working as a finish carpenter I've put various pin nails, brads, etc. through my fingers while building door frames. Sometimes a "shiner" takes a weird path and bites the hand holding the material. I had a razor blade come out of a quick change utility knife while in use and cut my thumb. Slipped with various cordless drills driving whatever bit I was using into the flesh of my other hand. My personal favorite was ripping the nail off of my thumb while crushing it with a 32 0z. framing hammer. It is still mutated. At least sledge hammers don't have waffles. The list goes on, and yes I've stapled myself to my target a time or two.

wear boots or thick soled shoes to outdoor ranges also. The worst is getting a staple straight up in the thin tread of your tennis shoe only to step on it just right days later.

<--- you look just like this when it happens.

I do it a lot at the range stapling up new targets to the cardboard...

I haven't done it lately though, which means I got a good one coming.

Remember that one side of Velcro is always rough and scratchy. Chafing!

                    Have you ever stapled yourself

No, but I've chain-sawed my finger. Does that count?

Oh, now that we're not just talking staples... one of the deepest finger cuts I've had, came from when I was trying to remove the front panel from my Magpul MIAD grip. Had to press with the first joint of my thumb... plenty of pressure... finally it gave, and the polymer sliced pretty deep. I learned that while the MIAD is indeed something you can take apart, it's not something you can READILY take apart and put back together. You figure out what you like, and you keep it that way.

No way. You have to be some kind of moron to staple yourself . Closest I've come is when I was a little kid my older brother tried to convince me that stapling myself in the thumbnail would prove my manliness

Too funny, I did the same thing back about 4 years ago. Now I keep BOTH hands on the chainsaw. That was a very hard lesson learned.

i did it whith a staple hammer once when I was hanging some moistop. one other time I had a nail gun jump and nailed my hand right at the webbing between my thumb and first finger. That one hurt a lot. The staple hurt more cause I hammered my hand more than the staple piercing the hand
