Man I coulda told you about LAGC.

A few years back thugs were robbing people of their gun cases as they were walking through the parking lot to leave.

One of the few times I have been, I once saw some older business professional type dude take this HEINOUS 6 foot black drag queen in there to shoot, then he/she/it clocked him in the head and ran off in stiletto heels with that poor suckers gun! And all the armed workers behind the counter just sat and watched.

Screw that, I would rather not shoot than go to LAGC.

Ahh you guys are just being paranoid LAGUN Club is a few minutes from skid row, is known for having alot of gangbangers and wanna be thugs, has some of the worst air and ventilation inside the range(you are pratically breathing lead in there). That being said I didn't FEEL threatened last time i was there. Remember you should always be AWARE and ALERT no matter where you are. Use your instincts and good judgement. Yes, most people would be scared in the situation you described. And alcohol and firearms is a bad combination, I agree. But well just cuz someones drunk doesn't mean they mean you harm, but it doesnt mean they mean you good either Maybe they were just there to have a good time and party a little bit Anyways best time to go there IF YOU HAVE TOO is during the day. Because as they say: the freaks come out at night.

The first time I went it was in the evening to shoot a friend's shotty. The staff there did not allow a guy who was drunk to shoot and straight up told him to leave. I guess things aren't so great anymore.

Easier to just go to La Puente or Insight.

You just need to buy some regular ammo at a gun store and then go find a big vast open space with a backstop out in the desert! you can shoot all day with no hassles!

No the drunk Mexicans were cool! We talked about my AK for a while. But I know a lot of cool people who drive drunk too, that doesn't mean I am going to feel comfortable in a car with them when there driving drunk.

For rifles... you might as well find some badlands and shoot with your buddies...
that way if a target falls off or something happens... you can always have a cease fire to fix it instead of waiting the 10 minutes until the next range appropriated cease fire.

Just get up early and come out to angeles and shoot till the barrel is smoking!.Maybe I will bring out my pre-ban AK and we will blast the targets like commie heathens.....even though yours has bigger nads!(7.62 vs my .223)

I've shot there before; no big deal. You just need to keep to yourself and don't act as if you don't know what you're doing. Just remember that you have more experience and are more knowlegdeable than most. I don't think you have to be afraid of someone trying to take your weapons. Stay alert and always know who and what's around you.
