took the gf to the range today, took the rifle safety class, grabbed a bite to eat, and then came back for some range time. all was going well, gf was putting together pretty decent groupings with a 9mm carbine, and i was having a good time with the mosin 91/30 i just got.
that was, until someone began using the lane next to us, WITH .300 WINCHESTER MAGNUMS. did i mention this is a 25 yard indoor range?
I have no idea why the rent this at my range, not sure the exact model but it was a black bolt action with a fairly large scope, and a muzzle break reminiscent of a .50BMG. every round the guy let off sent a shockwave that actually visibly moved the dividers. everyone at the range had a look that was some variation of WTF. my ear protection still left me with a loud ringing after every shot he took.
what do you guys do when something like this happens? it really kinda spoiled the rest of our range time
