I know someone who built a DD and he claimed it wasn't a DD nor firearm even though PC12001(b) said it was...a cop even told him it was fine. A lot of cops don't know the law for sure, the only person I'd trust 100% for knowledge of the law is a lawyer.

Do you guys recall the guy in Norco about a year or two ago whose house caught on fire. He had over a million rounds of ammo stored. Most of his neighbors knew and had no problem with it.
He had had the ammo for years and the neighbors all said he was a good person. What primarily got him in trouble legally was that he had more than a pound of black powder. From what I read, anything over a pound is illegal and he had quite a bit more IIRC.
Turns out I lived only a few miles from him when I lived in Riverside by the Norco border. Sure wish I knew him then.
