.410 handgun ammo?!

I noticed some Federal .410 handgun ammo at Wal Mart the other day. Actually a couple of WMs.
After the whole concept of .410 handgun specific ammo faded away, it suddenly occurred to me that I was in Mountain View. How much of this stuff do they intend to sell here?
Anybody else seen this stuff?

It is supposedly optimized for the Taurus Judge revolver, which is a CA no-no.

Was curious of that too. Miwall had it too at cow palace show. Wonder if this stuff can be used in regular 410 shotgun.

It's not the roster that's the problem, it's the fact that CA law defines it as an assault weapon ("shotgun with a rotating cylinder"). CWS could only sell to LEO if they submitted dept letterhead, just like if they were to sell a Colt AR.

The gun is not illegal; it's only illegal if owned without the proper paperwork. It's just that very few people can legally own it. I would venture a guess that at most a handful of them are legally owned in California, but that number might actually be zero.

I have a pretty good friend who's a Sheriff's Deputy. It would be legal for him to buy a Taurus Judge, and then PPT it to me though, right?

It is just an advertizing thing. It might have a powder charge that is designed to work best in a short barrel. But it will still go bang in a regular .410. If you want to try it, go ahead. It won't hurt anything.
