    Nice camo job. It sure beats the hell out of that moron, who spray painted his Mosin 91/30 stock a bright "commie" red color...

      Looks good, its almost too easy huh.

      my buddy and I did something similar to his air rifle. Fusion and some jagged templates made out of a manila envelope. His came out surprisingly well.

        sorry to bring back an old thread but I am sitting here looking at my boring gray 597 stock and I am getting ideas of painting my stock and maybe my scope. I have seen some nice race stocks for the 597 finished for $75 on ebay but since this is just a plinking gun right now I would love to stay cheap. I am thinking about going with Kyrlon camo only, but is there any clear that comes out matte that would protect the paint from cleaners and rough use? Any chance you would post up pictures of it now and how the stock has held up? Thanks in advance.
