I have been using Shooter's Choice Rust prevent for the past 10 years. It works fine for me, however, I don't put my guns under adverse conditions. One side benefit is they use some type of coconut-like smelling additive to it, so it doesn't smell as bad as some other rust prevent products.

I've used it over 10 years, and that stuff is great, what WD-40 wishes it was. Not only is a great protectant like WD, it's also an outstanding lube (and WD is not a lube anymore than diesel is).

It's only real downside is cost and availability.

On my guns, I use CLP with great results. But I have a decently controlled environment to begin with.

Thanks for the suggestions. Preferably, I'd like something that is easy to clean off if it should be cleaned off before shooting. Also, low-oder is a must - especially if for the ones you keep beside your bed.
