I have a Shield Plus. Lots of YouTube videos on the best CCW gun. The Shield Plus wins in a lot of them. I would try one, if possible, before getting the P365.

I just can't get into the small single stack carry guns. I carry a 4.25" M&P Core with a Trijicon 06 on it. It's about Glock 19 size. And I have no issues carrying it in an appendix rig, even in summer with shorts and a t-shirt. It doesn't bother me at all to carry it so I just can't see switching to something smaller. And it's a joy to shoot. Unlike many of the smaller guns. But YMMV."Kestryll I wanna lick your doughnut."

The 938 is about as small as you're going to ge with a 9mm. It shoots very nicely for something that size but the 365 does shoot better overall without giving up too much in size. Ultimately you'll be the best judge of which one works best for you. I use the 365 as my summer, lightweight/small carry. The rest of the itme I'm carrying a full size gun (1911, soon to be 2011). However, between all the various subcompact, I do find the 365 to give the best balance between shootability and concealibility.NRA Benefactor Life Member

If you're more used to the Glock grip angle, try to find a G43X MOS.
If you're more used to the standard grip angle, get a P365."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill

I'm retiring the Kahr PM9 for a Hellcat.
The Hellcat is nearly the same size and weight as the PM, it's trigger is more in line with my other pistols (xd and glock 27), 4 more rounds, and it has an optics cut.
I'm to the point where I have problems picking up the front sight, so adding a red dot was one of the main reasons for the switch. I looked at the sig p365, but didn't want to deal with the external safety that's on the CA "approved" versionLast edited by kenl; 05-02-2024, 12:06 PM.sigpic

Sig P238 is such a great carry gun. The SA trigger and good sights makes it so easy to shoot accurately for such a small gun. That's what I pocket carry when I don't feel like carrying my Glock 29 inside the waistband.👍 1Comment

Don't just switch to optics without spending the time getting familiar with their nuances and having a clean presentation. I either carry a G34/17 or a Glock 43/43x, depends on the weather and whatever I feel like. The large pistols have optics, the smaller ones I consider to be up close guns only.sigpic
