    Who's shipping batons to California?

With the billy club now legal to carry in California again, which websites are shipping expandable batons to us?

I guess this case wasn't as closely followed as the ammo cases and the websites I visited still won't send me a baton.

Oh but indeed it has been followed closely:

      Yes, followed closely by us.
I meant the websites selling this stuff hasn't been following. All the sites I usually go to will not ship.

        Try botach: https://botach.com/search.php?search...=inStock%3Ayes

Some people will whine about them, I've ordered many dozens of times (even when I lived in CA).

Botach let me place the order.
Now I wait to see if i get a shipping or cancelation notice.
Botach not my first choice, ordered three times from them in the past, got the order each time...after waiting several weeks.

I was at Loyal Arms in Folsom to pick up a rifle. They had expandable batons for sale and said they had been selling quite a few.
I have never been trained to use any kind of baton. Is training for civilians available? Without training I do not see any reason to buy a baton.

Botach sent me a shipping notice, and an hour later, fedex sent me a notice as well. As of now, fedex has my baton and will be here monday.

Color me surprised that botach shipped it fast.

A baton against an armed perp?

If one can't carry, seems like pepper spray would be more effective

I agree, but it's nice to have a variety of less lethal defensive options.

^^^ . . . And this is what the mindset of most DA?s are now looking for when people shoot someone in self defense. People are scrutinized just like police shootings.

-What happened before the incident? Did you provoke it?

                            -What happened during the incident?

-What happened immediately after the shooting?

-They are looking to see what you did to try and avoid a shooting.

                            -Did you try to deescalate?

                            -Did you consider less-lethal option(s)?

-Not that we have to in California, but they still look at the mindset on whether or not one thought about or attempted to retreat from the situation. It helps in one?s defense, OR prosecution.

All of those things are looked at now. This comes from a friend of mime who?s a deputy district attorney, who?s boss is a major tyrant here in SoCal. We have dinner usually once per week and this topic is discussed frequently.
