I suspect they won't bring charges or arrest him, he's in a care facility with dementia. There are is probably some legal process ongoing to confiscate the weapons and have them destroyed. If the family doesn't act quickly, get legal representation and have them stored by an FFL, CADOJ will move to have them made non-functional/destroyed.

Not a name I recognize from the Richmond range but I'm sure others would. Kind of a bummer, clearly quite a collector. Would have been nice if family, a friend or someone had been paying attention if he was in decline or something, could have helped him find these a good home rather than getting himself into a mess. I had an older relative suffering from dementia for many years before he passed, very sad because he was a brilliant physicist and navy WWII veteran. In his final years, he was very rude and almost belligerent to strangers. People who didn't know him all thought he was a violent threat to others. Fortunately he only had couple revolvers which he got rid of before he knew his dementia will get worse.
