Either one heck of a collector or an arms dealer for gangs and cartels.

There's a lot of high value weapons in that cache. Dang!
Too bad he was prohibited person from a collector's point of view. Now, he's toast.

Since they didn?t release any details about this? collector? or say why he is a prohibited person, it?s hard to really know exactly what he was up to BUT usually when these things turn up in the news, it is almost always some older guy gun enthusiast that just wanted to own some (forbidden) cool stuff and not harm anybody. Bonta crowing about how this seizure is protecting the community is most likely total BS.Comment

I would go with the old guy theory. Inert hand grenades used to be very common, I recognize some 1980s era folding stocks, as well as some fake can firearms. I would be willing to bet that none of the machine guns are anything more than semiautomatic versions. Most of those firearms were probably legal when purchased.Since they didn?t release any details about this? collector? or say why he is a prohibited person, it?s hard to really know exactly what he was up to BUT usually when these things turn up in the news, it is almost always some older guy gun enthusiast that just wanted to own some (forbidden) cool stuff and not harm anybody. As for the ammo, a million rounds seems like a lot, but 22 LR cases are 10,000 rounds each, and since the guy was into beltfed firearms, I'm sure he has bought in bulk in the past.
As for evil magazines, again most were probably legal when purchased before the 10 round limit, and maybe also some during Freedom Week.
In the end, they saved the community from an old guy that might fart in public.Thermidorian Reaction . . Prepare for it.We know they are lying, they know they are lying, they know we know they are lying, we know they know we know they are lying, but they are still lying. ~ SolzhenitsynComment

You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and cannot be lent.

Most if not all of that could have been legally acquired throughout the decades. I wonder if any of the "machine guns" are actually automatic or if they are semiauto or even inert. A million rounds sounds like a nice round number, It would cost a small fortune to buy that much ammo these days. Definitely decades worth of collecting. Guy had his own museum.
Probably a really old guy that became prohibited due to mental incompetency. That's what happens when folks get old. Hope he enjoyed his collection. Seems like he could have had some fun burning through that ammo at the range though.CRPA and NRA member.
