Apparently, yes, and the CA govt seems to have picked up on that starting with the LEO exception to the roster and magazine capacity laws. Exceptions for FFL03+COE holders is another. Imagine the apathy if a "veteran" or "firearms instructor" or "gun store employee" exception was created. Firearms instructor schools would spring up out of nowhere, charging exorbitant amounts to people becoming instructors just so they could get around a law. Or you'd have part time one hour per month employees on the books for the same. But the biggest result is all these with the carved out exceptions would allow more restrictive laws to pass, because, yep, "I got mine."

same here. i built some (additional) stock recently via sportsmans for trap leagues. i'd buy some more but primarily to avoid the excise tax come later this year.
though with this update, i should be able to go buy ammo in Reno when i'm there since some trap ammo is cheaper there and i don't have to pay for shipping. just need to feel the credit card pain in one shot.Comment
