Assuming they are not AW registered or voluntary registered or self-made which required voluntary registration before 2019, there would not be a record of long guns acquired before 2014.

Failing to properly transfer a gun inside CA is a misdemeanor. You get to decide what is the risk of detection, prosecution and conviction.

What about if your father lived in ca but passed away in AZ and you took possession of his hand gun that never left the state .. you have his death certificate ? Asking for a friend .
