Google Discriminates Against Firearm Shoppers

Just adding to the list of how companies like this discriminate.

When you shop for something on a retail page, a little "track price" bell button appears to the right of the address bar in Chrome. It allows you to track the cost of that item and purchase when it reaches your desired price. Well, if the item is in any way related to firearms, hunting, target shooting, self-defense, weapons, or accessories of any kind (including optics, mounts, clothing, cleaning equipment, etc.), the feature is disabled.

I haven't bothered to check, but it's probably the same for other types of items the company deems questionable, immoral, unethical, illegal, regulated, etc.

This is when the started to actively limit/restrict searches for items they deemed to be prohibited or offensive.

It's also when employees at Google that held conservative views started to get blacklisted and/or forced out of the company.

Ever notice that for any news related search on Google (and others) the most liberal news sources are on Page 1 of the search, and you don't get any conservative news media results until Page 2 and beyond? That's a bigger issue to me.

I only use Chrome for one vendor account at work, because their site doesn't function well on Firefox for some reason

I'm don't use Google search or Chrome browser on any of my personal devices... I primarily use Firefox and duckduckgo

Since getting a new MacBook Air (mainly to do my taxes since Intuit no longer supports the older Mac OS) I've been using Brave with TOR and Brave search. Works pretty good. I still think Bing's video search works better for pron though. It returns direct links to video content in general that my download software can quickly grab and collate, particularly Youtube.

Like many social media companies some of us have little choices.

Basic word processing who will you use? Google or MS. Like one is better?
Spreadsheets. Google sheets or excel.
Email. Gmail or Outlook. Oh hey how about yahoo. Jk
