    Moving a large gun collection

Can anyone recommend someone who is not going to offer only 50% of the worth of my firearms. I'm in Palmdale but willing to drive a fair distance to sell a bunch at one time. I know shops have to make money too but 50% is ridiculous.

I tried them and LSB in Simi and both were pretty close at 50% in value.

I don't really want to disclose how many on an open forum.

            Consignment is typically better.

Why not put them on Gunbroker?

Not enough time to deal with tire kickers and shipping.

I think there's places who will do it for a fee.

Not much tire kicking on GB.

50% sounds high, but I don't think it's untypical. Particularly on lower tier product. Takes as much effort to sell a $200 gun as a $2000 gun. They're there to offer expediency and convenience in exchange for value. Fire sale prices happen at fire sales.

Gunslingers auction. 25% fee and they always got me more than I expected.

Doesn’t get easier then LS&B. They will come to you to pick up and send you a check . They tend to get more $ than comparable auctions. I think they now charge 30%. I sold a few thru them, solid folks.

How are you determining what your firearms are worth? Used firearms are generally worth what people are willing to pay. I find that Gunbroker is a good measure of the market.

If it's related to your MP posts, you have a couple I'm interested in but we have had a horrible time connecting.

My Wednesday night knitting group is always looking for new toys. If I were to write a check for the collection, approximately what would we be looking at?

Gunbroker is a good way to sell as the fees are reasonable. Great quality pictures are the key for a good sale, and lots of them. Taking lots of good quality pictures takes a lot of time and effort though.
