I have at least one IWB and one OWB for any pistol I carry. When possible, I almost always choose OWB first.

Depends on your body type whether IWB or OWB works better.

Personally, IWB looks like I have a lumpy growth on my body that's protruding badly and is about to have a baby. It's extremely obvious. Then there's the whole pant waist size thing.

Whereas, a G19 in an OWB disappears completely on me.

I have a friend that's exactly the opposite.

OWB is always more comfortable so you have to ask yourself the reason IWB exists, and the reason is deeper concealability. And a lot will depend on your lifestyle and how you dress.

Separately don't discard a smaller gun for pocket carry. My Kahr PM-9 is always on me, except when I'm out on local hikes and carry even lighter S&W 360PD. A G-19 is out of question in many of those situations and having a gun on you beats having one at home.

I carry my model 19 OWB in an Aker leather holster. I also carry a P365 in a Aker holster. During winter months I wear a jacket or a hooded sweatshirt. Summer time I wear a Tommy Bahama type button shirt.

I sometimes use to carry a J-Frame in the pocket, but unless I have a pocket holster or even a square piece of heavy cardboard- I don?t like that gun bouncing around my pocket.

If I need a holster, I?m packing a bigger firearm than a pocket j- frame.

Nothing wrong with the j frame - I?ve carried the scandium, titanium, aluminum, polymer ones and they do serve a roll in how we use them.

OWB even without a jacket.... Just an oversized non tuck shirt... More comfortable anyway. Especially with an oversized gut.... Like a mumu

AIWB. Just lift and shift it upwards when you sit down so it doesnt crush your giblets.

Yeah, owb on my body looks like I?m trying to conceal a suitcase. Aiwb disappears. Wish it was the other way around.

Inclined to buy a OWB holster for when Im wearing a jacket. I have a G19 thats on my permit, but I never carry it because IWB kinda sucks for that size gun.

                        What do u do?

Here is a snippet of a close-contact class I took earlier in the year - was using a Glock 19 Gen 3 with the Tier 1 AIWB holster...

Goes without saying that *any* carry must involve a holster, especially pocket carry. A kydex holster with a pant hook and thumb ledge allows two different ways of releasing it, and the thumb ledge is used the same as a safety on a 1911/2011 - if the holster is still on during a draw, a push with the thumb sends it flying off.

I'm on the chubby side and find it easier to carry my non-pocket gun OWB. Both my P365XL and P320 (SC and Compact) are carried OWB in Versacarry holsters.
                            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I have an Alabama holster for my 380 and 38 j-frame, and use a square piece of cardboard for that wallet in pocket look, even though the Alabama holster do their job.
