Full length sweat guard I assume. I don?t think much of that matters when you?re working and sweating, it?s going to get all over the pistol, at least in my limited experience. I think it basically just becomes humid under your shirt, so even if it?s not directly up against your body, the humidity effect will get it in places that are covered up. I?ve carried my Glock 26 and done work and got all sweaty and even the slide down in the holster had some sweat on it. That said, I?m thinking some of the other folks are probably right and it?s not the slide, maybe some other untreated metal.
One little side note about my Glock 26 finish, the slide does show finish wearing off from I guess rubbing against my skin for 4 years, as I don?t use a full length sweat guard. No idea if finish wear on your slide may be possible to allowing for it to rust?

That?s the spot ~ were the up and down lines are ( finger grooves ).

I am still scrubbing the 4 spots and it is getting a bit better now, even the jm custom kydex had 3 lines were the rust marks were.

I just have to pay more attention as it could have been worst I guess, I even knew I was soaking the pistol ~ but I thought ahh it?s a Glock.

Checked it a day and a half later and opps, thank you for posting that picture.

Sounds like it's almost at that point where if you drop it on carpet it will fall apart.

        I hear it's a common thing with AR's.

                +1. A good heavy coat.

Also if you're not wearing an undershirt a good synthetic one may help. And while the weather is hot, I would get in the habit of waxing it weekly and wiping it down with a silicone cloth each time you take the gun off.

meh..remove rust and apply a bit of paint to cover bare metal. Use a modeling brush. Thats what I would do to mine. That area has to be a tiny area rusting. Its a tool, not like some BBQ gun for Sunday afternoons.

That much rust on that particular gun in that specific location will definitely cause the bullets to fly faster.
