    Sig sp2022

We had two SP2022?s. Both 100% reliable with 115 FMJ and 124 or 147 JHP Gold Dots. Trigger was good in SA, but never liked the DA trigger. Grip size was nice and gun was lightweight. Sold both due to DA trigger to fund striker fired pistol.

Wish we still had them as zero real complaints as a range gun.

I ran an M9 and a P226 in the Navy, so the DA trigger on these is nothing new. you can always pull the hammer back if it's that much of a bother, or you can just train for it too. Even at $600 these are a bargain

Probabaly wont ever be a unicorn gun in Cali, more supply than demand...sort of like the sd9ve that fell off roster. Even off list, they're never going to go for more than a used Glock.

        Extremely reliable and functional

We bought our first SP2022 at Reeds in Santa Clara for $375. It was originally marked at $400, but they gave you $25 off if you buy what you rented. We were renting A LOT of guns back then to try and find that perfect Goldilocks gun for my wife. In addition to the $25 discount, we got free range time at pickup! Double-score! This was back in 2012 or 2013 or so. We wound up buying a 2nd one dedicated for HD use.

            True that!

Currently, the SP2022 is the ONLY hammer-fired polymer frame pistol from SIG Sauer.
They made the P250, which was a flop but it gave way to the successful P320.

With 20-plus years in production and adoption, the SP2022 is one of the most successful SIG Sauer designs.

            Not bad at all!

I like my 2022 a lot. It lives in my nightstand with a light on it. I keep it as my go to defense gun because I trust it to go bang and it can be replaced if it were to get impounded. I’ve run it in two 4 day classes without any malfunctions.
The DA pull is manageable and the SA trigger is pretty nice. When you dry fire it it feels weird and springy.

Yes , the SIG SP2022 would be more sought after if it was off roster , it's a very reliable well designed high quality hammer fired polymer pistol

people dont realize something is good when it's still available , it's a hidden gem of a gun , once it gets discontinued / banned , the later generations of gun owners will want it

years from now when it's no longer available people will say I wish I kept my Sig SP 2022

I almost never take mine to the range. Yet, every time I DO take it... I ask myself why I don't take it more often! It's a great shooting gun!

2022 was my first handgun. Bought at shop for 400.00 brand new. Never had a failure fun gun to shoot.

SP2022...is my bed side depend upon gun. Never had 1 issue with it. And yes, a soft shooter. When ever one of my buddies shoot it, they love it. If you have one hold onto it.

                          Why the SP2022?

"Once you've owned and shot a 2022 you'll start to wonder why you paid twice as much for a P226."

There is a decently priced P2022 locally that has caught my eye. Earlier this year, I picked up a Shield Plus for use on hot humid days when mowing and other yard work so I would not sweat soak my P229s or 226s. I’ve had it 3 months and have put about 300 rounds through it but it is just...

                            The Sig SP2xxxs are great.
I have no idea why I got rid of my SP2340 (1999ish) in 357Sig other than thinning my caliber herd:
the 9/40/357 platforms are pretty much the same.

I have no idea what changed btwn the orig SP2009 in 9mm vs the current SP2022, other than
                            perhaps a light rail.

Hell, I'd pick up an 9mm one just for giggles if I had some hicaps for it.

Yes, I think the 2009 had a proprietary light rail. 2002 changed that to picatinny.
