First day carrying concealed

I come from the future (2037).
CA law now states that you must show your CCW badge to anyone who comes within a six foot radius of you and that you must announce your presence as a CCW holder over the PA system at any large business establishment before engaging in any commercial activity. (*Signed into law by our esteemed co-Governors Jenna Pelosi and Gavin Newsome, Jr).

First day carrying concealed
Just make sure your hamburger is cooked to 155 degrees or you could die from e-coli poisoning. No lettuce, onion or tomato or Salmonella poisoning.Last edited by Striker62; 08-06-2023, 2:51 PM.USN 1982-1989 / ARNG 1999 - 2001

How many times did you touch your waistband to make sure it was still there?
I also carry my ccw permit in an easy to access place. I tuck it into my giant beard.I will stand for truth even if I stand alone.

It?s actually on one of those dog tag chains and goes inside my shirt. You can barely see it unless you look at my upper neck. It would never be obvious and outside my shirt.sigpic

BP, if you like the idea of the neck thingy, but not the "tiny silver balls" (TSB) aspect of it, I have a little trick for you.
550 cord has inner cords surrounded by an outside woven sheath. If you take 550 cord and cut it to length of TSB you want to cover. Pull the inner cords of the 550 cord out, and the TSB can slide inside of the outer 550 cord sheath.
I did this in the military with dog tags. It was quieter and less reflective than the TSB.
Or, you can rock on with your tiny balls! It does seem like the neck thingy might be a good option for those that have their wallet and their firearm on the same side. That way, when you go for CCW License, the motion is clearly not for you CCW firearm. To each their own.Comment

That?s a really old trick, we were doing that all the way back in the 90?s. Still have my original set like that hanging in one of my gun safes. When I got out I made a copy of them and they?ve been hanging on my rear view mirror of all the trucks I?ve owned since. With the copy I replaced my Social Security Number with my time in service for obvious reasons.BP, if you like the idea of the neck thingy, but not the "tiny silver balls" (TSB) aspect of it, I have a little trick for you.

It's even more a test of ability to remain calm when you are carrying, get stopped for a minor traffic infraction, let off with a warning because you are genuinely polite to the officer - and you DON'T have a CCW.
He never even suspected or asked if you had any firearms because you were so damned nice to him.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?Comment

Well, I didn?t shoot anything or get arrested or anything like that. It was rather uneventful, except I felt like everyone was looking at me. I went to a movie and went to a hamburger restaurant and came home. I?m going to be venturing out again next weekend. Probably going to a Shopping Center. My wife told me she needs to get a few things. My wife had no idea I was carrying concealed.
All in all it was a successful outing.sigpic
