Congrats. How long did it take you?

My experience is usually the reverse. My FFL gets the NFA item, then I wait until the stamp is issued.

We don't do supressors here in California. Excremento prefers hunters with hearing damage.

Most residents here associate them with Hollywood gangster movies.

Yeah, I thought that sounded weird. Maybe it's a quirk with e-filing? OP, call your dealer, he might already have it.

I ordered it last August from Silencer Central. They create the Trust, I fill out the form, they put in the serial number and send it to the BATF. Once the BATF approves it, Silencer Central notifies my local sheriff, waits 7 days and ships it to my house.

I'm flying home from Florida tonight and Wifezilla just told me that she saw three raccoons trying to break into the chicken house last night so it's perfect timing.

Oh, those are Form 1, not Form 4. That makes sense.

I hear with a tax stamped item that the.gov can come to the registered address and do a check.
You must allow them in NO questions asked.
I also heard you can put the address of a bank safety deposit box down as the place where the item resides leaving your residence unapproachable.

Never heard of that ever happening, nor the thing about safety deposit boxes.

That being said....did my Form 4 in October....still not here. . Congrats to you though OP!

Here is a good article that addresses this long standing rumor.

It seems like every post about an NFA firearm — whether SBR, silencer, etc — is followed by comments along the lines of “owning an NFA item isn’t worth giving up my Fourth Amendment rights.” These comments stem from the belief that NFA ownership means the ATF is legally allowed to stop by and enter ...
