    Intra-Familial Firearm Transaction Form Question

I received a revolver from my grandfather who lives in CA. Luckily, this is one of the few things that's fairly easy/cheap to do in CA!

I have the Intra-Familial Firearm Transaction Form and am about to submit it but don't know how to fill out the question about the DOJ S/N. It's asterisked showing it needs to be filled out, but seems like a question that only makes sense if you answer yes to the previous. Should I just say "no"?

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I know how long this stuff takes to process so don't want it kicked back for something dumb.

BK, your logic appears sound. Answering "No" to both seems to be the way to go.

As mentioned, it will take time to get a reply back from the DOJ.

But it doesn't matter. People always get worked up over getting a letter back from the DOJ. There is no legal reason or requirement for them to send you one. Once you send in the form you have completely complied with the law as written.
          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

OP; Where on the Ca DOJ BOF; OPLAW form did you find those questions?

I.ve never seen them. I think you are possibly looking at the wrong form. Which if true, will definitely add to the delay in response.

Here is a link to the proper Intra Familial OPLAW form. Which BTW, doe not have those questions.

ETA I believe you are confused on which form to use.

Here is the VOLREG form, which does contain questions regarding [self made bullet spitters]

SEE, IT WASN.T A STUPID QUESTION. And now you are glad you asked.
