Sig spear cost vs SCAR

Im considering acquiring a battle rifle and the Sig MCX is on top of my list.

Im not sure if 308 or 6.5 is the way to go. As the new US military rifle, the rifle will likely take hold, and will be around for a long time. Unless, it fails miserably in the field.

I would go 308. You're not going to get very long barrel life with 6.5
