If the list ever gets updated then I "will" have three registered AW's.

      But this would be unlikley.

        I got none
tho, that may be a good thing, as I have no "registered" items.
But still, I wish I was old enough to have reged 1 or 51.

                What's an AW???

It is a word conjured up by the media and anti-gun politicians to scare the populace back in the 80's. The title 'AW' has NO revilance to ANY of my semi-auto centerfire rifles.

oh... more than a couple I suppose. All reg'd and legal. Get the odd look at the range but I keep multiple copies of my paperwork handy everywhere.

I was too young to get the CA idea of an "assualt weapon." When I get out of state (1 more year and counting), I have almost enough saved for a Stemple Thompson .45.

Don't worry, there were many of us who were old enough to register but opted to sell our guns. In my case I only really picked up a rifle or two because of the ban but the amusement factor wore out so quickly I sold it before the ban ever set in. Post-ban I got sucked into the whole OLL thing but eventually it just reminded me why I sold instead of registered in the first place. The only thing you can really shoot with "Assault Weapons" registered or not is paper and targets because the Department of Fish & Game is not issuing tags for humans.

The reason I bought a bunch is because it gets really boring and expensive shooting hunting rifles and hunting ammunition when you just want to throw a lot of lead downrange, and AWs are the most fun at the range.

And you can shoot plenty with AWs... 3 gun, long range, varmints on private property or on BLM land with the okay from the county, etc...
