firearms in ccw permit

My IA is Riverside and they allow up to 6 to a permit at a time. This can be changed out but with a fee and another qualification.

With 6 on my permit I was informed I can only carry the maximum of 2 as a carry on my body. This doesn't make sense, so does this mean since I am carrying 2 as concealed, my other 4 that is on the permit has to be boxed and locked when transporting to the range or where ever I'm traveling to?

Why would you need to carry more than 2 loaded guns on your person? It's just not necessary.

San Bernardino County only allows 3 on our permit, and two on your person, so I think it's pretty standard policy.

Didn't even know they let you carry 2 on the body. No extra mag either. I also don't foresee myself using more than the avg number of rounds should I need to defend myself after failing all avoidance, deescalation and escape techniques...

Being able to transport all the firearms listed on a LTC without having to have them unloaded and in a locked container is a plus. I know Ventura doesn't have a stupid restriction about how many can be carried at one time. In fact, this is the first I've heard of any AI imposing such a restriction. So, I think it's far from standard practice for an IA to make such a policy. For God's sake, please don't condone any anti 2A policy.

First I’ve heard of that policy as well. But it’s SB, where they require an employer reference and don?t let you carry 10+ mags

OC has no such policy.

OP, who told you this ”policy” If it?s not listed on the conditions of your license, technically you can carry more than one firearm on your person loaded and/or drive with loaded guns stored in the vehicle (such as driving to range).

I would want to carry whatever it should take to make me feel safe, and if I'm approved to have 6 on my permit, I shouldn't be limited.

Have you guys not seen all the youtube videos out there with malfunction guns, especially with semi? I've seen countless from good guys to bad guys, it happens. So my thought process is to have my primary carry as a revolver but since its so limited capactiy, my 2nd carry is a semi. These days, when being robbed, it's not just 1 robbery, it's multiple. You seen the news, there are multiple robbers.

My permit says nothing about the number of weapons I can carry concealed. Permit allows 3 weapons. My current CCW has 2 weapons.

I may be wrong, and please correct me if I am...

If I am alone (key word is "alone") in my vehicle, I can have weapons that are on my permit loaded and unlocked in a case apart from a weapon on my person. If I have a passenger, I cannot legally do this: They must be unloaded and in a locked container apart from the weapon on my person.

In my opinion, carrying two weapons on my person would be very distracting and would also give a dirt bag an opportunity to grab one of them and use it against me. That's a chance I am not willing to take.

I?m not sure where their authority on this issues comes from.
I believe it is SUBJECTIVE, and therefore unconstitutional under Bruen. Objectively, you should be able to carry any handgun you own.

If your IA has imposed a 2 carry limit, then I would bite the bullet (PUN intended) and box/lock the other four during transport to the range.

I mean, you could ask you IA how they feel about that, but it's possible they may not view the question very favorably. I personally try to avoid garnering any attention from my IA. YMMV.

His instructor probably modified his curriculum in anticipation of SB2. The new law coming in a few months will be a state law that limits you to carrying 2 handguns.
