Just picked up my brand new Sig P226 Nitron today and I immediately noticed that the decocking lever was a different color than the rest of the gun - it’s like a faded brownish color, which stands out against the all black gun. Is this normal? Why do some of them have a discolored decocker while others don’t? Photo attached.

Post a clear pic, that one is useless. Post it to IMGUR then post the link here
Sometimes small parts can be a little straw colored - I went through some of my pics and found a couple of my P226 decocking levers like that. Doesn't bother me one bit.

In my opinion, it looks like your P226 was assembled with a decocking lever from P226 MK25/M11-A1. The faded color indicates an anti corrosion coating for austere environments.
Not a bad thing. Contact Sig if it really bothers you. They will make it right and send you new one.

That lever is hideous. It completely ruins the value of the gun. I'll give you three fitty for it.

The real question though is does that decocker match your shoes and purse?sigpicComment

In the pics, it doesn't look funky at all. It's such a minor thing, so why go through the hassle of changing it out. If it does not work as it should, that's a different kettle of decockers, err, fish.
