Have you ever had a gun with a very cool serial number?

I completed paramedic training a couple of hundred numbers too early for cert # 5150. My Dept FF badge number was 007. I guess I need to get a Walther PPK too. I have bought a few Glocks in pairs with the veterans blue label program and was happy to get sequential serial numbers a few times.Comment

I had five guns that all had the same serial number. The only difference was the two letter prefix.
The number was 02232.
Delta Elite DE
Delta Goldcup DG
Delta Stainless DS
Double Eagle 45 DA
Double Eagle 10mm (I can't remember, I only owned it for about a month)
I wish I still had that set.
Sent from my LE2115 using TapatalkYes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?Comment

Have a pistol in .40S&W with the serial number 4040.
A uniquely nefarious looking pistol with serial number 0187.
A single-shot lower meant for a .50BMG upper with A5150.
A Colt with a serial number matching the patent date expressed on the slide.
A Revolver with my initials, in order. in the serial number, followed by the year I graduated highschool. Was buying the gun anyway, and that was just a lucky byproduct.-----------------------------------------------

I called John Ross back in the day. He had a PC run of 500s run to his specs. 5 inch, no brake. I asked him to check the safe for one with my birthdate as the serial number.
He did and signed the box as well.
I've also got a G34 with DUD prefix... anything but.Last edited by TKM; 04-22-2023, 4:24 PM.It's not PTSD, it's nostalgia.Comment

I got a group buy of custom engraved Kimber 1911’s during a deployment, around 34 guns if I remember correctly. We were I Company, 185th Aviation Regiment.
The Serial numbers are ICO185-1 thru -34 or whatever it was. During the process of working out the purchase I was very surprised to find that Kimber would do a run of custom serial numbers like that. Very nice guns with engraving on both sides and the grips as well, and Kimber was by far the most supportive company I worked with while trying to make this happen.01001001 00100000 01110111 01101001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01001110 01001111 00100000 01001100 01001111 01001110 01000111 01000101 01010010 00100000 01100011 01101111 01101101 01110000 01101100 01111001Comment

not as cool as some of yours, but I have a British Enfield, and a German Mauser from WW1, both with 4 digit serials - the first and third numbers are the same, the other two are just swapped. Not the same as a "match", but out of millions of rifles, from different countries over a century ago, just a little bit neat.Comment
