Magazine storage

I am sure this has been covered before. I have 18 handguns. I try to have at least 4 mags for each. So 72 mags.

How do folks store their extra mags?

I went to home depot. And bought the tote with a clear top . And stackable.
Just write down whats inside on a sheet of paper with a sharpie.
Bundle the mags together with plastic and used blue painters tape for label.

Did the same for rifle mags.

I have pockets on the door of my safe with many of the .22lr mags and some of the larger ones.

I have an under the shelf drawer for some off sized mags., similar to this:

In the pockets on the safe door. One reason why I bought a new safe. Needed more pockets.

I put them with the pistols. How do you store your pistols?

Possibility. The safe is in a closet so there is the back side of the closet door. Need a secure labeling system.

I pretty much did the same. I have those quart freezer bags and bag each set of 4-5 mags for each pistol and write on the white portion of the freezer bag which gun it is for. A lot of C&R mags, at a glance, look the same so this system keeps my Tok, Mak, P1, P64, Astra 600, and CZ52 mags separated and nicely organized.

I also P-Touch each individual magazine with the pistol model, caliber and a sequential number. That way, if a magazine is problematic or goes bad, I can keep track of which magazine is which. So far, this little organizational system works very well. When I am going to take half a dozen pistols to the range, I just pull the corresponding bags from the Magazine tote, they go into my range bag and just get returned after the range visit back into the magazine tote. I also have 4-5 Snag Mags for different CCW guns so when I am not carrying certain pistols, I also keep the labeled Snag Mag in it's respective guns freezer bag. I label the SnagMags too because they basically all look identical. This way, I never get my Snag Mags mixed up either.

I'm now working on my Rifle Magazine tote but it's not as well organized because big rifle mags, especially 30 rounders, don't fit into the freezer bags as well, but I'll figure out some way to organize them as well.

I keep them on a shelf that is just for mags. On the shelf I have them organized in these thingies:

El-cheapo 4 mag pistol pouch. I also have what kind of pistol they are for written in silver paint pen on them, so I can find what I am looking for.

Even better, you can just toss the entire thing in the range bag, and you keep all the mags together and keep them from knocking into other things
