I just CC when I go to a store that has "no gun" signs. Sometimes, I forget and no one really notices. As for SB, on the rare occasions I go there, I use the drive through. Not too many hippies here in VA, but we have plenty of Obama leg humpers in C'ville.

Charlottesville is your local hippie commune. Two local FM stations give the flower children a double dose of live Grateful Dead musuc every week. This doesn't even happen in San Francisco any more! Never mind if Jerry Garcia died 14 years ago and the band stopped touring in a permanent cycle...

And your story sounds like the lady just threw a tissy fit because they may not have supported the troops like SHE wanted them to. Maybe they supported them with other donations, care packages, money, beanies, etc....

Just because they decided not to help with one lady's "support the troops" campaign doesn't mean they don't help at all. I've passed by plenty of people outside of my supermarket asking for money for X cause, doesn't mean I don't support the same causes in other ways.

haha, well i just have a weak stomach for the caffeine. lets just say that a well stocked stall is needed if i do ever try to drink coffee again......

i'm a water, tea or root beer kind of guy. either of those three satisfy my thirst.

I do believe SB is anti-gun like I said earlier. I'm not sure about their stance on the military, but with that being said they had me move to the head of the line and gave me about a 60% discount on my coffee because I was wearing my Navy hat and a camo jacket. So I would have to say that at the very least the SB I was at, is supporting the troops.

C'ville only has a small amount of hippies and we keep them over by the outdoor pedestrian mall. I don't know about the radio stations playing GD. Maybe they do, I just don't listen to the radio very often. They're mostly college dropout kids that don't wash themselves and don't work. They look like they hike along some of the trails around here, but I don't think they actually hike anywhere other than the second hand store. They just walk around the outdoor mall with their backpacks and mangy dogs all day. They sure freak out when they see me or someone else with a gun though. They trip all over themselves trying to find a cop. The cops don't do anything though. They don't even question us gun tote'n heathens. I don't know what happens to the hippies after awhile though. There's never very many of them at a time and you don't see any old hippies. They either get a job or move on to somewhere else. They sure don't have a welcome mat out here for them. I live in Crozet and there was a hippy that lived here for a while, but I haven't seen him since last deer season. Yeah, we have hippies in C'ville, but I wouldn't call it a commune. C'ville is Virginia's little Haight-Ashbury experience. What few hippies you got congregate around there and the college. Hey, it's the same scene in Berzerkeley Kommiefornia. It must be funny, to see some pothead (who smells like marijuana) approaching a cop; when he's got a bag of weed or maybe even some acid in his pocket. It isn't another land of fruits and nuts on the east coast. Smoking dope is still a felony. What kind of fool would risk going to jail, in an attempt to rat on some homeboy with a gun?
