Silicone gun sacks

I have been using the gunsocks for years,they are geat.I sure would be in for some Calguns labeled ones.Lets get this done...

So which one should be the CG sock? The thick one or the thinner one? I'd be interested in either.

I have used the thick bore-stor and the thin kind from wally-world. The thin ones are the way to go on guns you use the most, the thick bore-stor work awsom on guns that dont get used much or are worth a lot of money and you dont want them getting dinged up.

i use bore-stores on all my firearms. they keep my babies all nice-n-ding-free...

I'd take a couple of each. Might be an idea to decide on a couple sizes and keep it simple. Look at the makeup of the group and see what makes sense. AR size, Garand size, carbine, and a couple pistol/revolver sizes. Start a poll and see what kind of interest there is.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm pretty new to the forum and was doing some rust prevention research via Search.

So, I have some questions for all you silicon gun sock owners. I live in a coastal area and we get quite a bit of ocean moisture in our home.

Will these silicon gun socks work effectively to prevent rust if I store a shotgun in the sock and then put the gun in an Allen case?

What about in a silicon sock in open air?

I tried using dessicants in both my nylon cases and in the storage locker, but the locker isn't airtight enough to keep moisture out.

What about shoving a dessicant packet inside the gun sock with the gun?
