Yup, I have no place to shoot a tactical shotgun. The rifle/pistol range doesn't allow them, and the shotgun range only allows shooting at little frisbees.

Get the M4, return it, get the Python and some ammo with the left over money...
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

to me it would depend on what handgun and shotgun i owned already.
i am a minimalist, so if it doesn't add to my capabilities, i probably won't spend the money.

Colt Python, only shotgun I can think of that I would pick over it, would be an 1897 Trench Gun.

I'd get the Python but only to sell it off later for something I'd rather have. Why you ask? I have an M1 Super 90 that I'm more than happy with and I also have a 70s (IIRC) vintage Python in Royal Blue. So...I think the Python would have the better resale value.

                      Buy the Python.
With the extra money buy a Copolla T4 Benelli clone.

Clones are not up to the same durable combat reliability / proven system as a Benelli M4 / 1014 original SG.

Those SG's copies may be nice - but we are speaking about the Benellis that have a proven record in military and combat / SD roles -

While i dont have the precise model number referenced, i have both the m4 and python. Different tools and a different purpose. My vote, get both when you are ready. The prices have stabilized considerably

I had a similar 'dilemma' for my birthday. I got the Colt and I live it. Either choice seems like it will end up as a Happy Birthday

M4, I already have the ammo. I would have to buy .357 ammo.
