FN 5.7 or Ruger 5.7?

PSA 5.7 is not legal in CA. I would have jumped on it.

The standard PSA 5.7 Rock is a CA legal off-Roster pistol.
^Because it is a CA legal off-Roster handgun, a CA FFL dealer can only legally transfer if via an exemption.
~The standard magazines for it are considered large capacity magazines, so unless exempt, the magazines need to be permanently altered to 10 rounds prior to being imported to CA.

PSA does offer a threaded barrel variant of their 5.7 Rock, which is a CA illegal (assault weapon) off-Roster pistol.

$1250 is a decent price on a Ruger 57. I'd get that one, becuase obtaining an FN is easier and normally more expensive.

Thanks for the positive feedback, just what i needed. I just went in and purchased it but was kinda thinking if I made a bad decision or not. Now seeing your post, makes me feel much better. Waiting on the background check to clear. I will post some pics and my opinion of this firearm soon.

I have the Ruger 57 and think its a great gun. A lot of (expensive) fun to shoot and with 500+ rounds through it I've had zero issues with 27 and 49 gr ammo.

I've shot the FN offering. Nice, accurate pistol with a weird safety. Passed it up for the Ruger 57. More conventional layout, very fun to shoot, accurate and I've not had any problems with any of the FN or American Eagle loadings.

Thank you for your observation on the ammo. I picked up 2k of the federal and 1k of the FN SS197

I would consider the PSA 5.7 or the new FN 5.7 MRD. The old FN 5.7 I wouldn't consider.
