The 2022 AWB already passed the House and just needs a Senate vote and potato signature. The Lame Duck Senate is a very dangerous place. The senate currently has 48 votes to end the filibuster. Assuming they can’t bribe Manchin or Sinema, there is the potential for departing Republicans to flip, not to mention a RINO or two. They can end the filibuster or vote to suspend it for certain circumstances.

The 2022 AWB passed by the house expires with the 117th Congress on January 3, 2023. It’s basically now or never, or at least years away before they get another chance. Nothing will happen before the Georgia runoff, but a lot could happen afterwards.

Guess I empathize with them, but then I have to wonder how many used to laugh out loud and say "oh that's just Commifornia" about gun laws? How many times have CA's gun owners sounded the alarm only to be said, "oh that's just your state?" I think we tried to tell them. I think they failed miserably at defending their gun rights and couldn't even elect a good governor.

Perhaps a 'better' governor. Drazan is at least not Kotek - Brown x2 - but she's a politician and a snake. I voted for her.
