Ankle Holster question

I carry a BUG in my Bugbite ankle holster on occasion. Depends where I am going, and would only consider a BUG on my ankle as it takes too long to draw and get on target. Primary firearm is always on my hip.USN 1982-1989 / ARNG 1999 - 2001

Isn’t the P239 almost the size of a G19?
Not sure if you’re wearing bell bottoms, but maybe try something smaller?
I’d say an LCP or even a P238 can probably work better without slopping on your leg as you walk.Comment

P239 is too big and heavy for an ankle gun.
Wouldn’t carry anything bigger than a Glock subcompact or S&W J frame. And I’m into skinny jeans."A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

copy that.
it's smaller than g19 but yeah! it'll be easier for sub-compact around the ankle.
ok then, don't want to end up with unwanted holster so i'll have to try to strap it around my ankle this weekend.Originally posted by IshootforbloodGalco ankle glove with G26 or a S&W 640. Same here. My primary is on the hip or AIWB strong side. BUG gun is carried in non gun hand pants pocket or AIWB for the left hand, when my primary is on my right hip. One gun for each hand. …in case the primary hand get injured in the fight.
Ankle holsters suck. Having to bend down at the waiste and pull up the pant leg absolutely blows when you’re in the fight.sigpic

Anything other than hip carry might as well be carrying off body. Worst yet, ankle carry requires you to be stationary when drawing the gun.Comment

Why would anybody want an ankle holster? That seems nowhere near as effective as a hip holster.sigpic

Without fail while working, I carried a G26 on my ankle and a primary on my hip. It was heavy but I got used to it. The problem was the printing. Unless you wear bell bottoms, it will be seen. Since I retired, I gave up on that and either go OWB or IWB carry.Comment

If you're a truck driver and spend most of your time behind the wheel, a good ankle holster is very easy to get to from the seated position. [emoji6]
