Old 1911guy buys his first Glock.....

I'm impressed. The 26 is a nice little package, and effortlessly shoots out to 40yds like a laser beam.
    I might even get another one...in 10mm.

    That is all.

I cannot answer why, but I shot the G26 as good as any Glock I've owned. I sold it to a CA buddy that needed a good CCW gun but IMO the G26 is really a good gun. I carry a G19 most days. I have a ton of 1911's Beelzy but the old saying... Show your 1911 to your friends, show your Glock to your enemies.

As far as the 10mm goes, I own a G20 and a G29 and the 29 is a nasty little cuss. The 20 is a wonderful handgun, IMO the best full size Glock.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Your manhood is going to fall off.

If you had bought the 10mm you would have only suffered from disfunction issues.
My mother always told me to be careful what you ask for.

Just one more piece of parental advice I stupidly ignored.

The G17L causes the bent weiner.

Relax a bit. Just giving you the business. If you are a 1911 shooter you must love that crisp glock trigger and reset.

I carried a G26G4 that also shot like a laser beam and the only reason I moved away from it was to get thinner and lighter for the summer. But they are awesome guns, great choice for a first Glock - congrats!!

It's all good. Yeah, that trigger. I pretend it's my ex and try to ignore it. Lol

The Steel Lucille gets hot in the summer, plastic stays cooler, so trying something different.

I shot a Glock 27 when they first came out and was very surprised as how well I shot it.
It took me around 25 years to finally get one.

I think OP was hearing that theme of heaven's gate opening as he handled and shot the glock.
