Believe it or not, Turners in Roseville.

All the shops in Sac, suck now.

What he said. Do not go to sportsman’s warehouse unless u want to be there for 2 hours. That’s hour long it took me with 4 long guns. They won’t do pistols if they are not on the list.

I've never personally done one here (only ammo), Nor cal gun vault in Rocklin seems to be popular as well. I was in there today browsing, no lines...
Would like to buy 357 Maximum ammo.

I’d check out The Gun Range on Watt Ave.

If you want to travel to Vacaville, ASP Armory is a nice place. I wouldn't do Sportsman's Warehouse.

They charge an extra processing fee for PPTs now, this is on top of the standard PPT fee. I think its $25.

Oh yeah, and get ready for the "safe is full" excuse.

Last I checked they are by appointment only and require you to email them buyer and seller information to request an appointment.

ASP Armory would get most if not all of my business if I were still local.

Definitely NorCal Gun Vault. In my experience they are very professional and quick. A typical PPT for me is done in about 45 minutes. I just picked up one of my PPTs there on Monday and was in and out in 10 minutes.
I try to get there when they open at 10 for my PPTs.
                    Good luck!

Sacramento Gun Range(formerly SGC). Released on undetermined status.

Last ppt I did at Turners Roseville (as a seller) they would not honor the safe affidavit and buyer had to purchase a lock. Other than that it was good.

I’ve had good experience doing a multiple firearm ppt at Sac Black Rifle. That was over a year ago, so not sure if their fees have since changed.

I've had pretty good luck with Turners as well but I think they don't release on undetermined.

The Turners experience really varies depending on which location you go to, I have done business at the one in Fresno before and everything went smooth.
