doesn't look cracked enough to impede function. should use it in the range to test to see how reliable these mags are in damaged condition

If you push some JB Weld for plastic into the crack, let it dry and sand smooth I'm betting it will be fine. But I did vote for don't be a Cheap A**

You can eat bacon while you are gluing it. If it works use it at the range. I would never trust it in a life or death situation. The mag is cheaper than the bacon.

If you try to repair it, YouTube super glue and baking soda for a fix.

I’ll replace needed components in a mag, spring, follower, etc. but once the mag body is broken or damaged in that way, I will toss it.

They can be had for $20 nowadays:
Ammunition, Firearms, Outdoors Gear and Accessories with Free Shipping Options, Free Package Insurance, Great Customer Service

I'd remove the follower and spring, fill the magazine upper portion with epoxy and use it as a holder, clamped on a vise on the workbench.

That's what I did with my Sig MPX magazine I cracked it trying to turn a California 10 rounder into a 25 rounder (I'm in a free state.)

When I read the title, I thought this was going to be something completely different.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

                        SuperGlue Gel.
Try to open the crack a little.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.
