If you want to invest the time to repair it as a range mag I don't see why not attempt to repair it. At worst, you just wasted your time if it doesn't work.

I like to tinker with things, so I would try and fix it. But I would also get a new one. If it works well that's just fine if not oh well

Epoxy, use at the range, and don't worry about it.

How tight is the mag fit?

Can you build up any additional material?

Meh…. trash it. I had a bunch of aluminum mags that bulged out right at the mag well area on my AR. They worked once inserted except you had to really pull to get them to come out. And i mean PULL. I banged around on them trying flatten the curve but like the covid one it didn’t work. I never understood what happened. I just never used them again. The other ones (same brand) no issues. Maybe a manufacturer mistake.

Straight from Kalashnikov USA. They were pretty interested in it at well.

Being me, I would try and repair it with something like JB weld, strictly for the range. Given it’s location though, don’t expect much. It looks like someone tried to insert an extra round and caused the lips to flare.

A+ to Kalashnikov customer service. Contacted them Monday and just received the new magazine today.
