If you want to invest the time to repair it as a range mag I don't see why not attempt to repair it. At worst, you just wasted your time if it doesn't work.

How tight is the mag fit?
Can you build up any additional material?

Meh…. trash it. I had a bunch of aluminum mags that bulged out right at the mag well area on my AR. They worked once inserted except you had to really pull to get them to come out. And i mean PULL. I banged around on them trying flatten the curve but like the covid one it didn’t work. I never understood what happened. I just never used them again. The other ones (same brand) no issues. Maybe a manufacturer mistake.Comment

Never seen a mag crack like thatComment

Being me, I would try and repair it with something like JB weld, strictly for the range. Given it’s location though, don’t expect much. It looks like someone tried to insert an extra round and caused the lips to flare.NRA Life MemberComment
