Help navigating site on AR15.com

Hi Guys,

I am asking you guys who spend more time on the 'boreds' than I regarding how to navigate on AR15.com.

After signing in

1) I can't seem to find/get to the forums part.

2) I can get the the 'exchange' or WTS/WTT/WTB section but I can't seem to email or pm people. Clinking the necessary icon just opens another screen telling me about AR15.com's interesting articles and vendors.

Any help for this ol' guy would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I know, I'm not as internet savvy as you guys. I can't even post iTrade right! LOL!

Click the tabs marked "armory", "handgun", "general", etc.
It is a confusing site when first using it.

I wouldn't worry too much about navigating the site anyway. Once you figure it out and get your @** handed to you just for being from CA you will leave and hang out here more. Not worth the hassle to me.

LMAO...that is classic bARFCOM.

It's because the forums for actually discussing firearms are buried between the "penis-sizing internet-commando proving-grounds forum" and the "screw California forum".

You cant judge everyone on ARF by the actions of a few, be it the "the AR-15 is the best and most tacticool gun ever built" guys that look down on you for liking "insert name of gun here" more. And the "Anti-Cali" guys, who gives a flying rats arse about them, they suffer from inadaquacy issues and probably all drive H-2's or corvettes. There are alot of cool guys over there, I bounce between here are there like its nothing. So dont judge the whole site by the actions of a few.

Come on... AR15.com has been helping us long b4 this site was around.... But their site is confusing to navigate now.. I completely agree.

they do have a lot of good info on their but the forum layout is garbage... easily the most annoying forum to navigate through and read...

You have a good point. I was relatively late to the AR game so I started participating in Calguns substantively long before ARFcom.

Hornet's nest

Man, I stirred up a little hornet's nest here.

I surfed AR15.com 10yrs ago. Lot's of good info and it was pretty neat. The site has become cluttered and so complicated that I cannot navigate it.

Everybody hates Kalif if you are from another state. When I was in Michigan, I said let them 'hollywood, BMW driving (fog lights on), ricky reckons' have that state with all the regulations, taxes and infringement on self determination ... and now I'm back ... what a fool!

AR15 has a very large sales forum and very high turn over. I find I cannot get something on Calguns because it's either in SoKal or NoKal and someone buys it in 15 seconds ...

Interesting, the comments heard hear. Not everyone is bad but you only need 1-2% to ruin the reputation of a school, a team, or a site.

Thanks for the people who commented on my original thread question about how to navigate that complicated site.

I've lurked around other gun forums and quicky found out Calguns has more civil, knowledgeable members. I checked the AR15 gallery at ARFCOM but thats it. I get my answers here at Calguns.
